Ha Noi, the capital of Vietnam, is the frenetic heartbeat of the nation and a place that befuddles travelers as much as it charms them. Dry winter lasts from November to March next year. Autumn and spring are transition seasons of April to October. The weather changes follow four seasons, which contribute to diversified feature of Ha Noi’s climate.

Best time to visit Hanoi:

Autumn (around September to November) and spring (March and April) are two best seasons to visit Hanoi when the weather is pleasant with milder temperatures. In winter, Hanoi is quite cold when the temperatures can fall below 10ºC (50ºF) and getting hotter in the summer averaging around 28-35ºC (82º-95ºF).

Vietnam has a tropical monsoon climate, dominated by the south or southwesterly monsoon from May to September and the northeast monsoon from October to April. The southern summer monsoon brings rain to the two deltas and west-facing slopes, while the cold winter monsoon picks up moisture over the Gulf of Tonkin and dumps it along the central coast and the eastern edge of the central highlands. Within this basic pattern there are marked differences according to altitude and latitude; temperatures in the south remain equable all year round, while the north experiences distinct seasonal variations.
