Visitors to Vietnam must obtain a visa from one of the Vietnamese embassy, consulate in your country of residence or via agency on arrival. Unless they come from one of the visa exempt countries. All visitors must hold a passport valid for 6 months
Nationals of certain countries may visit Vietnam without visa for a period of time, hereunder is the list of countries and regions that have visa exemption arrangements with Vietnam. Citizens of Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy and Spain holding are exempted a Vietnam visa for 15 days.
Vietnam visas may be issued for a validity ranging from one month to one year, but this is dependent on the purpose and proposed duration of the trip. Generally, most Vietnam visas are issued for duration from one to three months.
